Evapco has developed a unique method of wrapping the elliptical tubes used in their coil products with a spiral fin. This development raises the dry-bulb switchover temperature, improving the dry operation of closed circuit fluid coolers. Self contained control strategies have been developed to minimize water usage. We see many potential applications for these coolers in heat pump projects, process cooling, and data center applications.

 Seresco is introducing dehumidification systems with a reduced refrigeration charge approximately 25% of a typical system while providing a more constant leaving air temperature in every mode of operation.   Look for official product announcements in 2011.   Seresco has maintained their leadership position in the pool dehumidification industry and this development will further widen the technology gap between Seresco and the other suppliers.

At the 2011 ASHRAE exposition in Las Vegas, Vapac introduced the “VapaVoid” horizontal Concealed Humidification System.   This is the first fully packaged system with a low profile design to fit standard drop ceiling heights.   The VapaVoid has removable bottom panels so maintenance personnel have access to the stainless steel drain pan where the canister is easily replaced.  The multiple air return (2) and supply (3) connections simplify the installation of a flexible duct to a nearby supply diffuser and return grille. The VapaVoid cabinet includes all standard components of a typical humidification system such as:
